Nigerian clean-energy startup Acecore has won the $10,000 grand prize at TC Battlefield 2026, the startup competition held during Moonshot in Lagos. The award recognises its work on locally manufactured solar battery systems.

Acecore presented Powercell, an energy-storage product paired with its Powercore application. The combination is designed to help users monitor electricity performance and manage their power supply amid unreliable access to grid electricity.

The competition, sponsored by Yango Group, offered $17,500 in equity-free prizes. Supplya, which helps small retailers source stock and obtain interest-free inventory financing, placed second and received $5,000. Navidyn Limited finished third, winning $2,500.

The result gives Acecore funding and visibility as it develops its energy technology. It is a competition award rather than a venture funding round. For the participating businesses, the event also provided a setting to demonstrate their products to investors and other members of the technology ecosystem.
