Paratus Tanzania has established a network point of presence at Wingu Data Center in Dar es Salaam. The connection point, created in September 2026 and announced this week, expands access to the group’s regional and international infrastructure.

Routes connect Tanzania northwards through Mombasa towards Nairobi and southwards towards Maputo, Johannesburg and Eswatini. The network also provides paths to Europe and the United States.

The company says services available through the site include IP transit, Layer 2 circuits, wholesale capacity and international connectivity. Its intended customers include telecom operators, internet service providers and enterprises.

The development forms part of Paratus’s wider East African network strategy, including its Kigali–Mombasa links. A point of presence gives customers a place to connect to a provider’s network; the announcement is therefore about wholesale and business connectivity options, rather than a new consumer mobile service. Actual performance and service availability will depend on the connections customers purchase.
