Assiut-based Learning Rockets is building English-learning tools for children around the realities of schools in Upper Egypt: modest devices, unreliable connectivity and the continuing importance of printed books.
In an October interview with Disrupt Africa, founder and CEO Mariam Soliman described a model combining curriculum-aligned books with an app for children from pre-school through grade six. Printed codes provide access without requiring an email account, while offline functionality supports older devices.
The company reports reaching more than 100,000 students and 200 schools across Egypt. These are company-reported figures. Its next product, RocketTalk, is still being developed to support pronunciation practice. Learning Rockets is seeking distribution and publishing relationships as it explores expansion beyond Egypt, making delivery partnerships as important to its next stage as software development.
