Egyptian solar and water technology startup NoorNation has closed a $1.05 million seed round, with agricultural customer Linah Farms joining its investors alongside Catalyst Fund and KBW Ventures.

The transaction extends an existing commercial relationship. Linah Farms has worked with NoorNation on solar installations, including an agreement covering five stations with combined capacity of 1.1 MW.

NoorNation’s solar irrigation service is designed to help farms access cleaner power without bearing the full installation cost upfront. Its pay-per-use approach charges for irrigation services and provides a route towards ownership over time.

The round illustrates how a customer relationship can develop into investment after a company demonstrates its technology in operation. NoorNation is pursuing a market where energy costs, access to water and financing equipment are closely linked challenges for agricultural businesses.
