Kenyan property technology company PayServe is seeking a $1 million Series A investment to expand software that connects estate billing, utility meters and payment reconciliation.
Founder and chief executive Steve Butler told Disrupt Africa that the business, established in 2024, serves managed developments where rent, service charges and utilities must be tracked across many households.
One system for estate finances
PayServe combines smart-meter readings with M-Pesa and bank payments, then reconciles transactions with accounting software. Its integrations include Kenyan banks and the Kenya Revenue Authority’s eTIMS system.
The company says it bills more than 10,000 units across over 50 properties and has processed KES1 billion since inception. Those figures are company-reported. The proposed funding is being sought; it has not been announced as a completed investment.
Butler says new capital would support sales, product development and eventual regional expansion. The business earns revenue from software subscriptions, metering equipment and implementation services.
