Samsung has announced technology and athlete programmes for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, taking place in Senegal from 31 October to 13 November.

In its 2 November announcement, the company said Galaxy S26 Ultra devices would complement broadcast cameras in skateboarding and taekwondo coverage. Its Victory Selfie programme is also making a Youth Olympic Games debut, using Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition devices around medal ceremonies.

The company is operating a Samsung Open Station in the Youth Olympic Village, combining interactive activities with opportunities for athletes to connect. Dakar 2026 marks the first Olympic sporting event held on the African continent, bringing an international showcase for mobile technology to Senegal.
