Magna Collective organised 61 one-to-one meetings between 26 startups and 16 investors during its Investor Connection Drive in Lagos on 27 October.

Business Tech Africa reports that the programme used company data and AI tools to match founders with investors by sector, funding stage and cheque size. Google for Startups, the UK-Nigeria Tech Hub and the Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation supported the initiative.

The introductions should not be confused with completed funding deals. Magna plans to track the conversations and resulting commitments over six months, giving the ecosystem a way to judge outcomes beyond meeting counts. A related State of Early-Stage Venture in Nigeria report and webinar are scheduled for 18 November.
