Ten South African entrepreneurs have been selected for One Young World’s National Programme for Job-Generating Entrepreneurs, with technology founders among the cohort.
Disrupt Africa names JOBJACK co-founder Christiaan van den Berg, Botlhale AI’s Thapelo Nthite and Zaio Institute of Technology’s Akhil Boddu among the selected founders. Their businesses span entry-level recruitment, African-language technology and technical education.
The initiative, backed by founding partner the Ichikowitz Family Foundation, is linked to the One Young World Summit in Cape Town from 3–6 November. It offers mentorship, connections and market access, with a Demo Day provisionally planned for late May 2027. The organisers describe support for company growth and employment creation; the programme does not provide direct funding.
