Payments infrastructure provider enza has closed a $6 million Seed+ round led by 4DX Ventures, adding capital for market expansion, licensing and product development across Africa.
British International Investment joined as a new investor, while Quona Capital and Algebra Ventures increased their backing. The company announced the round on 3 November.
enza supplies technology to banks and fintech companies, connecting financial institutions with payment capabilities through a shared platform. It says it now serves clients across 12 countries and intends to secure the additional licences needed to enter more markets.
Founded in 2023, enza is headquartered in Abu Dhabi and has regional offices in Egypt, South Africa, Ghana and Nigeria. Group chief executive Hany Fekry said the backing would support continued investment in clients’ payment services. The new financing extends the company’s existing seed funding; it is described by enza as Seed+, rather than a Series A.
