Nigerian cloud provider Nobus has introduced a Nairobi availability zone, expanding its platform into Kenya.

Reported on 9 September 2026, the zone is designated Nobus-EA-AZ1 and gives Kenyan organisations a local location for provisioning workloads.

The company also introduced its Catalyst Programme, offering eligible African startups and enterprises access to cloud credits and technical support.

The expansion tests whether a locally hosted service proposition can travel from Nigeria into East Africa. An availability-zone announcement describes an infrastructure location; application resilience still depends on how customers design their systems and on the services available across the provider’s network.
