Luno is using MoneyHash’s payment infrastructure to manage a growing collection of banking and payment-provider connections. The crypto and investment platform, founded in Africa, had more than 25 such connections as its operations expanded.
Each additional market and local payment option created engineering work, including maintenance and monitoring. Bringing those connections into a common layer is intended to let the company introduce payment methods more quickly and manage performance centrally.
The companies report reduced integration workload and improvements in deposit recovery. Those outcomes are company-reported results; they should not be read as a guarantee that every customer transaction will succeed.
The development illustrates a practical challenge for platforms operating across markets: offering local ways to pay can create substantial work behind the interface. Payment orchestration aims to manage that complexity through shared infrastructure, leaving product teams with more capacity to work on the core service and customer experience.
