Around 100 fintech companies have gathered in Mbankomo, Cameroon, for a three-day forum addressing cybersecurity, regulation and cooperation across the digital finance sector.
The meeting forms part of Digitise Cameroon 2026, an initiative jointly led by the National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies, ANTIC, and The Change Engine. It opened on 28 October under a theme connecting security and strategic partnerships with an inclusive digital economy.
ANTIC Director General Ebot Ebot Enaw stressed the role of security audits and other protective measures in keeping fintech services resilient. He linked stronger safeguards with customer trust and protection against fraud, exposed personal information and service interruptions.
Participants are exchanging operational experience and examining practical responses to risks affecting digital financial services. The forum’s focus places security alongside market expansion: wider use of mobile services creates opportunities, while increasing the need for dependable systems and effective oversight.
