ARABSAT and Qatar’s Es’hailSat have signed a strategic cooperation agreement during the Arab Radio and Television Festival in Hammamet, Tunisia.
The companies intend to strengthen the 26° East orbital position as a broadcasting hub, expanding channel choice and content diversity across the Middle East and North Africa. The partnership also covers satellite communications, VSAT services and connectivity solutions.
They plan to explore technologies and joint initiatives aimed at improving service reliability, efficiency and integration. Another element concerns the Unified Arab Bouquet, with cooperation intended to help Arab channels reach audiences beyond the region.
The agreement establishes a framework for continued collaboration rather than announcing a newly operational satellite or a completed network rollout. For broadcasters and connectivity providers, the emphasis is on combining the companies’ existing expertise and developing services that can respond to changing customer needs across the satellite and media industries.
