ESI Africa puts smart-grid security and data-centre demand in focus

ESI Africa is examining how smart meters, connected devices and AI are changing power systems while data-centre growth adds new infrastructure demands.

A 2 November announcement highlights its Industry Insights Smart Solutions Volume, which considers digitalisation alongside integration and cybersecurity challenges. The publication is part of VUKA Group.

The discussion connects two developments often treated separately: electricity networks are becoming more digital, while digital services depend on reliable electricity. Older systems must work with new monitoring and control technology. ESI Africa says its forthcoming Smart Solutions & Data Centres Volume 2027 will continue examining the infrastructure, investment and security questions behind that transition.
