Google opens Skilling Africa hub with a three-million-learner target

Google has launched Skilling Africa with Google, a hub bringing more than 15 training programmes into one place. TechTrendsKE reports that the platform opened publicly on 2 November.

The initiative aims to equip three million people with digital and AI skills by 2030. Programmes include Hustle Academy, Google Career Certificates and Google Cloud Skills. The platform is designed for students, entrepreneurs, developers and professionals.

The stated target is a future ambition, rather than a count of learners already trained through the new hub. Bringing courses together may make discovery easier; learners will still need to choose paths suited to their experience and goals.
