MTN Nigeria’s nine-month revenue reaches ₦4.61 trillion as data use grows

MTN Nigeria reported revenue of ₦4.61 trillion for the nine months ended 30 September 2026, a 23.6% increase from the corresponding period a year earlier.

The operator’s earnings release also showed profit after tax of approximately ₦1.17 trillion, up 55.3%. Active data users reached 57.2 million, while average monthly usage per active user rose to 15.3 GB over the nine-month period.

The figures underline the growing importance of data to the operator’s business. They cover a nine-month reporting period rather than a full year, and should be compared on that basis. Network traffic growth and financial performance are related measures, but neither alone establishes the experience of every subscriber.
