Dar Blockchain and The Hashgraph Association have selected 18 startups for an incubation programme supporting teams emerging from the Hedera Africa Hackathon.

The programme runs through January 2027 with Tunisian incubator Wiki Startup and investment firm UGFS North Africa. Softstack is participating as security partner. The organisers aim to prepare at least five companies for seed investment by a demo day planned for the week of 18 January.

Support includes workshops, individual expert assistance, technical implementation and investor introductions. Teams will work toward deploying production-ready products on the Hedera mainnet while testing their markets and developing their businesses.

The initiative extends support beyond the competition itself. The hackathon, which concluded in April, attracted more than 13,000 developers and 1,300 submissions. Seed readiness and pilot participation are programme objectives, rather than confirmation that the selected businesses have already secured investment or commercial contracts.
